I sampled Birmingham Airport’s official “Premium Meet & Greet” parking during a recent press trip and was suitably impressed.
The arrival procedures were emailed in plenty of time so reaching the designated car park was straightforward. I left the M42 at junction 6 and travelled along the A45, following signs for the airport. Once inside the grounds, I just had to look out for the “Drop & Go” signs. What I liked most was its convenient location, just a few paces from the terminal building – literally.
The reception area for dropping off your keys is little more than a Portakabin, but don’t let first impressions deceive you, this is an efficient service. I arrived much later than anticipated but there was no big drama and within minutes I was on my way to Departures.
On my return to Birmingham Airport, the car was waiting for me; in fact, I’d been advised by a member of the car park staff not to worry about phoning upon landing because details of return dates/times are kept in the office so the staff would make sure the car was ready – and it was.
Overall, Birmingham’s “Premium Meet & Greet” parking is a very efficient service and I’d definitely use it again.
