Sitting in your air-conditioned capsule, 50 metres above sea level and listening to an informative commentary by comedian Steve Coogan, a ride on the magnificent Brighton Wheel is the ultimate way to admire Brighton, Hove and the splendid Sussex coastline stretching far into the distance.

Situated next to Brighton Pier’s entrance, the wheel has 36 capsules and you’re guaranteed a minimum of three revolutions per ride, affording you enough time to fully appreciate the panoramic views.

Initially, ticket prices of £8 per adult (cheaper online) and £25 for a family of four (again, cheaper online) seem rather expensive, but when you consider the views you get and the fact that it’s taken more than £6 million of investment to bring the wheel – which was previously installed in Paris and at the World Cup in South Africa – to Brighton, they can be justified.

Overall, we enjoyed our ride on Brighton Wheel and believe it offers visitors a completely unique experience, despite the price tag.
