For most people, like us, pasta is a staple part of one’s diet. So, when we’re planning a self-catering break, pasta is a “must” on our shopping list.
Everyone likes to try something different from time-to-time and that’s how we discovered ZENB’s range of pasta made from yellow peas.
Founded by the Mizkan Group, ZENB was launched in the UK during 2020 and quickly launched a range of pasta products. Made entirely from yellow peas, we can assure you that their offerings are as delicious as the company’s promotional material suggests.
The Mizkan Group’s philosophy focuses on offering tasty, healthy choices while remaining true to the company’s values, such as environmental consciousness. Aiming to raise awareness of a whole-plant appeal and, hopefully, inspire change within the food system, several ZENB pasta products are available, including penne, fusilli and macaroni. Veggie and fruit bites, ideal for snacks, have also been launched.
Yellow pea pasta is not only delicious, it’s a great source of, among others, iron. So far, we’ve tried the penne and macaroni pasta and found both easy to cook and very tasty while retaining a desirable texture – no sloppy pasta here!
